Amazing job by Oklahoma State to get to 10-1. Who is the coach?

Mike Gundy has done extremely well on OU's scraps. If he beats OU, then Baylor in the B12 title game and goes on to the playoffs, maybe even wins a game, why would he be a bad coaching candidate for LSU?

Is there any coach getting more from less than Gundy?

He’s an OSU Alumni, played Quarterback there. You would have to give him a lot of money for him to come. I don’t see him leaving.

True, but w/o OU or UT, when the B12 adds Houston and a few other Plan B schools, that program will be seriously marginalized. He'll never have an opportunity to win a title at OSU. Depends on what's important to him.

It has always been a rocky relationship and I don't think he's as tied down as people think. He's one of the most underrated coaches in the country but he's not a great fit at LSU, imo. I don't think he likes recruiting enough to be at a cutthroat SEC powerhouse.

We don’t want Grundy. I see him as just another cartoon character- we’ve had more than our fair share of those.

I do believe he’s wanted to tell OSU to frick off a time or two.

He’s a man. He’s 40.

ETA: he WAS 40, pretty sure he’s still a man though.

Mike Gundy is a man!!!! He's 54. All kidding aside his overall record since about 2010 is probably right up there with any coach that is considered "elite" by this board

Was the case when T.Boone and AD Mike Holder were there. TBP passed away and Holder retired. Gundy sort of won that power struggle and got a lifetime contract this season.

He’s been there over 15 years. If he’s playing with “less” it’s bc he hasn’t recruited top talent.

Actually, if I recall correctly, Gundy was interested in LSU in the last search. He's a good coach and would have come here then, but wasn't offered I'm assuming.
