He seems like a great man and happy to be here but the O line sucked arse most of the season. Why is everyone happy about Davis staying?

Edit: yes. Yes I am

He's a good OL coach. He came in June with a pretty lackluster line from a talent standpoint.

Bro this past years o Line is 1000000000000 percent on James Cregg. He left Davis with an absolute shite sandwich.

He was hired right before the season and had very little to work with and they improved throughout the season.

You’ll be in the minority here.

Limited time and a shitty offensive system are more to blame. Oh, and talent issues from the previous OL coach who was a complete failure with his super bowl ring*

O line recruiting was trash prior to Davis coming in and Davis improved that group dramatically to end the year in his limited time here. He got here literally right before the season

You can’t keep switching OL Coach every year- that is a unit that needs cohesion above all others.

He’s well-respected and got thrown into the job in August

Also, if you haven’t watch Davis’ press conference from the other day, I recommend….it was very good. LINK: video

I mean he was hired a month before the season and didn't have any players personally recruited by him.

Also he was trusted and trained by Pittman to coach OL. That is enormous.

Inherited a dumpster fire. Getting hired by Sam Pittman is probably the best endorsement you can get for an OL coach.
