We then fire Miles in September, and have 2+ months to communicate with Jimbo via backchannels – and after last year, and all this time, we’re supposed to believe that days before the end of the regular season, that LSU and Jimbo suddenly can’t agree on something as major and foundational as a salary? Something to which they reportedly agreed to last year? It's not adding up.

i was told by people here coaching searches don't happen like that.

I'm with you. I can see Jimbo and his family being hounded like crazy in Tallahassee and considering his iffy arse personal situation, he may have wanted a reprieve.

This is hard to believe, but you never know. I think it's more likely that UT boosters made it up to force the ADs hand on strong and move on Herman.

That's what everyone keeps saying. But what I'm trying to say is: is it really fricking worth it to spread some rumors to stir up shite just so Jimbo's "comfortable" for his last FSU game? Lol

Let me ask you a couple of questions...

If you know these members involved Alleva's circle helping the decision being made...what kind of responsibility do you have to them relative to "keeping this on the DL"

I mean, it's clear according to your story that Alleva or the administration and Jimbo wanted this hush hush....but you come here to fill us in... "It's Jimbo"

Now, I appreciate the intel, I believe you, because heck it's fascinating stuff and we all want to know who our coach will be...

but aren't you being counter productive to the cause or end result to keep this kind of intel quiet for another 24 hours?

and if you are rooted out, do you think the trust and friendship of these 3 sources will ever be the same?

Or do you just see us as fellow tiger fans contemplating a jump off a tall building fearing the worse outcome which will end up breaking the internet?

I stated yesterday lol contrary to popular belief here, this board would never be enough to mess up our coaching search lol believe it or not. I stated my information days ago and I'm solid on it, My sources are trusted and the main one I've been friends with for a long time (bought my house from him as well). When it happens, I can let you know everything exactly but I can't share more because I'll get banned again lol

But I have shared everything that I've been able to share publicly without blowing individuals cover. There was and has always been a plan in place, fans are just too easily distracted and emotional at times at every shiny hook that gets thrown...

Yes because 2 things:

1) I'm sure Jimbo wants to close out the season with his team and not have this announced before the game and have to walk out in them.

2) By keeping the Jimbo stuff in the dark, it lets the media believe LSU is seriously considering Orgeron. Remember last year when the media made LSU out to look like criminals for firing one of their winningest coaches in history ? If the media caught wind that Orgeron never had a shot after semi-weathering the storm post miles, then the media would crush LSU all over agin.

Does anyone have an idea why FSU has not announced a contract extension? It just seems like they would want to do that as soon as possible to relax the fans and the team.

They've been "working" on contract improvements for the past week.

Nothing has actually materialized.

Well if what was said is true: that Sexton kept bringing up the price so LSU said we're out. Then Jimbo no longer has the leverage for a raise like he wanted.

A lot of the FSU fans are saying the deal is done, but there's still no public announcement.

If the deal is done, I fully expect it to be announced tomorrow before the game. If not, there has to be a hiccup somewhere.

If there is no contract change, then I would expect Jimbo to come out and say something definitive about him staying.

If a definitive statement nor a new contract announcement happen tomorrow, I would think Sexton is not done negotiating. Whether with us, Texas, or FSU.

I agree...been a lot of shite to sift through this week, but all signs IMO point to Jimbo.

I'm fairly certain Jimbo will be the next LSU coach. Just my gut feeling.

Florida State did not come close to living up to it's hype last season. They were pre-season ranked fifth in the country—then after three straight losses to Oklahoma, Clemson and Wake Forest, they were back with the mediocre teams. That just can't happen anymore, especially with these amazing classes showing up on campus every year. Fisher has been brilliant in getting this top notch talent to Tallahassee, but now it's time to win some ACC Championships and BCS Championships.
