Alleva appreciation thread

He had the Jimbo deal done last year until Alexander said no.
Got rid of Miles who was robbing the University.
Held firm over the dickhead Jeremy Foley and his stunt and refused to move the game out of BR when other AD's would have buckled.
Made every intention of overpaying for Jimbo and had Herman coming before all of this.
Bottom line is that LSU will be in much better shape from a long-term directional standpoint.

Count me in. Alleva gets too much hate around here. It amazes me how many people still blame him for the mess last year. People used to complain bc he would never fire Les Miles. He basically fired Miles twice.

It's how it went down. LSU had 3 games left. frick that, and then you didn't fire him. By not doing that you fricked another season doing it 4 games in.

But keep in mind. Every time one of these disaster situations happens to us (and it seems to happen a lot) LSU is the bad guy and Alleva is the name being thrown around.
Whether we agree with it or not, that's the reality.

Wasn't his call. It was Alexander's. It doesn't matter who the AD is... They will always answer to the university president.
Firing Miles 4 games into this season was the right call. I would have preferred it done last year... So would Alleva.
