Just thinking about what would it be like if Miles had gone to Michigan.

You need to go on Prozac when the coaching searches begin each year. He's not going anywhere.

Scoop, didn't you make a sarcastic comment at me earlier today when I said Saban would be at Notre Dame next year?

does anyone else think Kelly is a flash in the pan like rich rod? i mean really, if you are ND and you want to come out of your slumber, do you go with a JV coach who wins? nope.

they see that Defense wins games, they will either go with a proven College coach (Saban, UM types) or they go with a defensive minded NFL coach.

stay tuned, it should be interesting.

It can't be Saban. He already said "I will not be the next Head Coach at Notre Dame!"

Like I've said, The gumps will be blindsided when Saban goes to ND, but the gumps will be to drunk from the NC win to get mad.

Nick ain't leaving Bama anytime soon. He's tired of moving and won't be tired of staying for another year or so. Then you should start worrying.

...they are stalling. These interviews are to make this look legitimate while they talk to their real candidate behind the scenes. I think Meyer or Saban will be the coach at ND next year, and I honestly think it is Meyer.

I have the same suspicion as you.

Notre Dame has to make a huge splash with this hire. They have an NBC tv contract coming up and it is big enough $$$ to allow ND to give a Meyer/Saban/Stoops $6 mil +...tv runs the show at ND and they have no conference ties to share the revenue. They don't want to lose that contract so they have to make the move now.

Scoop, is the reason you post here so because you've been kicked off all the Bama boards? You make way too much sense for a Bama fan!

As for Saban, ND might make an offer, but I don't think he bites, even if he gets a title this year. I've said it before. I think the only college job he would consider leaving for is USC, if it came open.

I actually like this board better than any board in college football but yes, I have been kicked off of all the BAMA boards. If you say one negative word about BAMA, even if it is true, you are gone on most of the BAMA boards.

Saban can't leave Bama yet. If he does, and LSU somehow starts beating bama on a yearly basis, all I'll hear is how Les Miles can only beat Bama when Saban's not there.

I don't think I could take the ranters.

I think ND already knows who their coach is and it will be Saban or Meyer in my opinion. I think it is Meyer.

I suspect the deal for Meyer was dpne last yr. Thats the only way that ND keeps Weis one more yr. Meyer told ND that he wouldnt leave Tebow, so they waited out the yr. willingham was let go after 3 seasons and similar records, so keeping Weis for a 5th yr after a 6-6 record was telling.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with his enormous buyout. Major coaching decisions are agreed a year in advance all the time. Jesus.
