...they are stalling. These interviews are to make this look legitimate while they talk to their real candidate behind the scenes. I think Meyer or Saban will be the coach at ND next year, and I honestly think it is Meyer.

I think it more likely that Bill Cowher takes the gig than either of these two.

But, it is definitely interesting to watch.

Meyer-Saban has a NC game to prepare for-Meyer has 2 NC at Florida and may bolt for the challenge

Cowher? Nope. His next gig is next year in TB.

ND needs a huge name like Meyer or Saban.

They are in the same situation we were in when we hired Saban. This hire is crucial to Notre Dame and it must be right. They can not afford to frick up again.

Or Carolina. Both have problems. Carolina has aging QB that's not any good and TB has young QB that is not any good.

I beleive Shannahan ends up in Big D.

shanahan would be terrible in Dallas. Their problems are on defense, not offense.

How many more threads will you start to drive this opinion home?

Just asking.

This is what i've been saying; they would be stupid to not at least ask saban if he wants a $3M/yr raise and the opportunity to coach ND. Meyer too but Saban is the slam dunk hire. He turned around two giants in a short amount of time in LSU and Alabama and both are/will be better off for him having been there even for a short while. ND is a laughing stock and a shell of what they were/claim to be; if they want to 'get right' in college football you throw the bank at Saban and make him say no.

During the Miles to Michigan fiasco he swore up and down in every thread that Saban was gonna leave to come back to LSU.

Its his shtick.

I don't know anything but it makes since. This coaching search is following the exact same pattern as ours when we hired Saban which tells me it has Sextons hands all over it. They are saying right now that ND is interviewing in New York where they are all together. Isn't this the same place we supposedly talked to Rich Rod? Then we supposedly hired Rich Rod, and then what happened, he went away and we got Saban.

I think ND already knows who their coach is and it will be Saban or Meyer in my opinion. I think it is Meyer.
