I agree. Talk of dumping him now is insane, but it’s still a bit early for an extension unless they somehow win it all, which would be a big surprise they way they are limping into the playoffs.

100%

Not my money but giving ridiculous extensions when you don't have to, is crazy to me.

It's like that crazy extension we gave O after 2019, but at least they won the natty.

IIRC, Jimbo's buyout would've been $30mil on his original contract, but that extension made it like $75mil, just for finishing #6.

Cringe considering he beat LSU far worse than Saban did during his final years. Who would Bama get who’s better?

Bama has had the coaching advantage over LSU for 20 years. I don’t think that the case anymore.

Bama has historically done pretty well against LSU , no matter the coach

Nothing like extending an average coach!

Not sure we could have done much better with who would realistically leave their jobs
True, but giving an extension after two years? Coaches have schools over the barrel. It's ridiculous.

LSU just paid $13 MIL a year for a head coach that’s never made the playoffs or won a conference championship at the power four level.

Imagine being 19-7 and getting a contract extension

We are essentially a Pac12 team at this point.

Kalen DeBoer has a 2-1 record against Auburn and Georgia this season.

7 losses in 2 seasons? hopefully 8th soon.

He's a good coach, but still glad Saban is retired.

Who will be more disappointed if he stays at Alabama? Michigan or Ole Miss Fans?

Yes, a coach that Bama didn’t even interview two years ago and would not be interviewed today. They know it and we know it. As Jake Crain said last night Saban had no problem telling Lane to take the LSU job but would never tell Bama admins to hire him. You don’t take the Bama program and turn it into a twitter crazy frat house.
