Since Tejas is so reech and can afford anyone..why don't they hire Saban as DC, Malzahn as OC and Belichick as HC?

Which he has stated time after time was the biggest regret he has made in his career. He has made it abundantly clear that his comment of not being the Bama coach still haunts him, and that he won't be making that mistake again.

Okay the point most everyone is missing here is he just received a $2 million dollar raise. The previous two times he left LSU and Miami, did they just give him a raise?
Also you'd have to be a fool to think Texas will honestly offer TWICE what they've been paying for a football coach for the recent past. Especially if that jump is from 5 million to 10 million.

You mean in days of getting it? No. In January of 2004 when he and Sexton flirted with Chicago, they wouldn't give him what he wanted (total control...to frick their organization like he eventually got in Miami) so he passed and fell back in love with LSU and signed a 7 year extension in LSU late winter 2004. You know all that talk about loving your town, building something special, legacy, etc? Yeah...we heard it too. We're still waiting on that slew of oak trees he and Terry were going to plant around campus... He would bolt for Miami about 9 months later.

Why? If Saban being on your campus is worth raising his salary by upwards of 50% every year or so, wouldn't his addition be worth it to any program willing to pay it?
Honestly...I put it at 50% he'd leave. I'm surprised he stayed but attribute that to Texas an their inability to keep the whole thing out of the press. That's just a hunch. But the fact that BAMA fans attribute it to his undying love for your Alabama, well...that just brings a tear to my eye.
You can say lots of stuff about Nick Saban, and in terms of football most of them are great. Loyalty, however, is not one of them. The guy is no more part of your family then he was our, or Michigan St's. He is a free agent who will wear your colors so long as he's being stroked the right way and the money keeps flowing.

He was always getting raises at LSU. Every year there would be talk of him bolting. Every year the gumps would laugh and call him a hired gun, a cheat, a carpetbagger and say he gone. He hasn't changed yet now he's Saint Nick.

I'm not even saying he's leaving or anything. I did think it before, but not really now.
But to even begin to suggest that he WOULD NOT still leave, either because he has more integrity than that or because he just loves him some Alabama Football...well, gosh. I'd be at a loss for words at that point.
The only reason I think he sticks around and gives the impression he has either integrity or loyalty is because he's older than people remember and is simply not interested any more in moving on. I mean, I guess at some point what he said would be true...he's going to end his coaching career somewhere and, since he will have said how much he loves that place and how he and Terry and glad to be there...the last whistle stop will feel vindicated as being the one true love.

Perhaps the other thing you want to consider is that you so desperately want Alabama to be just like LSU when you had Saban as your head coach. So desperate that you're doing all of..whatever the hell is going on in this board.
You could maybe take a step back and realize he is 10 years older and he has already stayed at Alabama two years longer than he did at LSU. He's enjoyed more success and has made more money here as well.
So, stop trying to make everything about LSU and immediately thinking they're the same situation. They're not. The two schools are different, and eventually you'll realize that.

And what you fail to realize is, you're not different...you just might be last. If that makes you feel special, than enjoy it I guess.
