I'm not going to be the coach of Alabama.

Which he has stated time after time was the biggest regret he has made in his career. He has made it abundantly clear that his comment of not being the Bama coach still haunts him, and that he won't be making that mistake again.

A small troll angle.

Would you guys be happy if Miles gets a raise to say 6 mill or so to not go to Texas?

Fair enough. But until that UT contract is signed with another coach, that comment lingers large.

Plus, after the flaming you guys have done since yesterday, it's just fun to bring up.

If someone lied 8 years ago.

And repeatedly apologized and regretted it.

And then was a man of his word for 8 solid years.

You're the a-hole for still judging him as a liar.

Even Jesus forgives.

No. Miles could leave if he starts demand ding anything more than what he currently makes.

Like I care. Guy lied like this when he left LSU, then did it when he left Miami. His past two departures are why no one believes him.

Man, Saban's past has you insecure like a motherfricker.

Why even bother signing the extension if he was going to leave?

1. To force Mack into resigning more quickly 2. To set a bar for the Texas offer 3. Damage control with the gump fans.

Plenty of coaches sign extensions before they leave. If I remember correctly, he signed an extension with LSU before he left to the Dolphins.

You don't know if he has or hasn't. That's just your opinion.

You know what, you're right. But with the way the media is covering this, if it was signed, it would be published everywhere that he was signed.

But if there is no buyout, signed or not matters not at all.

Let's be honest, buyouts don't mean crap these days. When was the last time a buyout has stopped a top tier school from either hiring or firing a coach. heck, didn't auburn pay $5 or $7 mil to buyout Tubby's contract?

Saban: Im not going to be the Alabama coach

quote:

Saban -- who has tried to denounce the story about him potentially going to Alabama numerous times in recent weeks -- again, and adamantly, denied that he's headed back to the college ranks.

"I guess I have to say it," Saban said. "I'm not going to be the Alabama coach."

"I don't know how many times I've got to respond to rumor and innuendo," Saban said. "I have no control over that. I've stated what my intentions are and they really haven't changed, so I don't know what the issue is. And I don't know why people keep asking about it. What they talk about over there is their business. But what's happening here is my business and our business, and that's what we're focused on."
