Bruce Feldman @BruceFeldmanCFB #Tennessee is very interested in hiring Kendal Briles for its OC vacancy. One potential snag is he'd like to bring his OL coach/run game coordinator Randy Clements from UH, another former Baylor guy, with him. And Pruitt likes his own OL coach.

I just continually see the guy posting relax in every single thread about the OC. Then his so called inside information didn’t work out. Posters just looking for attention without any actual information is sad.

That rules out LSU getting him even if they were interested. I don't think Cregg would be going anywhere with O around.

Not bringing in Briles over an OL coach would be the most Tennessee botch-job ever.

Sadly, I agree.

That's the difference between a true HC/CEO that demands excellence/improvement and the good ole baw approach.

What I saw on offense was a playcaller that was handcuffed by a terrible o line. When we were able to get blocks and consistent receiver play, the offense looked much better

The coordinator should never be handcuffed by his players at a school like LSU

You're part of the reason we are in this mess

They could get around that by having one of the OL coaches coach OTs and the other coach guards and centers. It's far from being an uncommon arrangement. The Denver Broncos have two offensive line coaches for Guards/Centers and Tackles. Saban also did it in 2016 having Cristobal coach OTs and Brent Key coach the interior o-line.

Coach O loyalty to buddies strikes LSU in the arse again.

why is Pruitt interviewing people? Doesn't he have an old friend currently on his staff he can just promote? He's handling this whole thing very strangely.

I remember last year that was a rumor with us potentially hiring Gilbert from USF. He wanted his OL coach. In the end I think rumors of talks with Gilbert were unsubstantiated. Not sure there ever was a "search".

The only "search" was O walking down the hall a few times and begging Slinger to be his OC.

Saban= 6 national championships 0 friends on staff
Orgeron= 0 national championships 6 friends on staff (Meatball, Ensminger, Robinson, Joseph, Cregg, and Sullivan)

See the difference?
