Talking about attainable candidates.
David Shaw from Stanford. This would be a legit candidate. Stanford has stayed strong after Harbaugh. Would definately listen.
Chris peterson- Good coach, has washington headed the right way. Think he's a pacific northwest guy but you at least reach out.

David Shaw isn't leaving Stanford for anything but a NFL job.
Petersen is a NW guy, at his dream job, with his kid's doctors there.

If people hated les miles offense and stubbornness, they will really be annoyed with Shaw. He runs basically the same offense.

David Shaw would be a homerun hire for LSU. I would prefer him over Herman and he could definitely step in at LSU and make them a contender in my opinion.

So does Jim Harbaugh.
Given the right players and the right coaches, any system can work.
It's obvious LSU has not had the right players / coaches over the past 8 years.

I just don't see it. Shaw is an alum and played at Stanford, won't happen. Peterson only left Boise for Washington and that ain't happening either. I highly doubt either will even entertain the idea of interviewing.

Neither of those would be attainable.

A horrible hire. No, to David Shaw!!!! What a disaster that would be!

You mean Shaw would be a home run hire because it would benefit Bama

LSU fans would love Shaw's play calling

No, David Shaw would be a homerun for Alabama if hired by LSU. Another pro-style offense that Bama can beat the frick out of

They'd love his 2 Te set stacking the line and running it up the middle with no room to run for your RB at the goal line.

I don't think anyone suggesting Shaw has actually watched Stanford games.

he runs the same offense but his players are much more disciplined...something lsu could use by the tons

David Shaw is a great coach....but his style doesn't match up well with Bama.

Weren't many of the 104.5 guys really chummy with Coach O. I think he had a recurring guest spot on one of their shows before he came over to LSU.
It'll be interesting to see if they end up gravitating to being in his corner.

In terms of quality of life, Shaw arguably has the best coaching job in college football. I'd be shocked if he left.
