Moving on to Philip K Dick’s “Do Android’s Dream Of Electric Sheep?”

I never read that but I have always thought it may be the best title of any book ever.

I need to read it, I guess. I did love The Blade Runner but I hated when they renamed the book to that for a short period.

I just started a series by David Pilling. Everything I have read by him is basically historical fiction.

Currently reading Trust by Hernan Diaz. I just finished another book the other day and didn't have anything else lined up so just googled "best books of 2022" and read a couple lists. I read as little as possible about most of them and landed on this one and decided to give it a shot. That's the first time in my life I've ever done that; usually whatever I read was recommended by someone or I'd heard about it elsehwere. I'm curious to see how it turns out.

I've always said that that is the best book title ever, wow Haven't heard anybody else say that.

It's a good read. A decent amount different than the movie actually. A lot more about Dekkers everyday life than the movie and the amount of droids there are.

I'd say this, Silence of the Lambs, and No Country for Old Men are probably the only three instances I can think of where the book is great, but the movie was actually better. It's well worth reading, but I actually like the movie a bit more.

Just finished Foreign Deceit, book 1 in the David Wolf series by Jeff Carson. Pretty good little mystery thriller.

You can get the first four books for free on Prime. Hard to beat four free books and I’m definitely gonna keep reading because the first one wasn’t bad at all. Looks like this on Amazon:

For whatever reason I'm in a local classics book club with some pleasant old ladies. We have a few books scheduled for the next few months by Kafka, Dosteyevski, etc.

I'm curious what people in this thread would recommend as their favorite classic they ever read.

Pretty good reads. I've read 6 or 7 of them and enjoyed them.

Guy is about to become sheriff of a county in Colorado but then gets word that his brother killed himself in Italy. He knows his brother isn’t the type to do that so he goes over to investigate with the help of some Italian detectives.

First one takes place in Italy but I just finished the second one and it’s all in Colorado. I liked the second book even better.
