Snow Crash.
I had to put Sleep in a Sea of Stars down. Which I almost never do. I’ll finish it but I just needed a break.

The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay - Michael Chabon
I've had this one for a while, it's taken me a while to give it a try because I hate the cover art so much. 200 pages in and I'm very impressed with Chabon's writing talent.

I am reading Watership Down. A little late to the party here. Much older book. Been very pleasant and an easy read. I wanted to read it before I decided to read it to the kids at our family reading time.

I enjoyed the first 7 or 8 of the Hawke series, but I stopped after whichever one involved Hitler's Eagle's Nest. Just felt the quality dropped significantly with that installment and the one before.

I got Spy at the library book sale last Saturday for .50.
I liked it so, I'll see where it goes.

I love finding new series that way! Most of the Hawke books are pretty good and fun, easy reads. I looked Ted Bell up and it looks like he wrote 2 more during the pandemic. I added them to my list and will get to them at some point

Currently reading Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. The story is interesting enough, but every other paragraph reads like this:
*Character says something technical or science based*
"What the character meant by this is.... *goes into detail about sciencey shite*"
I'm enjoying the book, but the constant sidetracking to explain scientific term takes me out of the story somewhat.

Assassin by Ted Bell. Hawke number two.

Finished this week:
Humans by Matt haig- amusing reframing of society from an outside perspective.
Dark matter by Blake crouch— last one by him I read was recursion and whooo boy does he seem to have a specific niche if these are representative. Good book, just read like hearing an echo
Currently: universal harvester by John darnielle
