Are you referring to blood of elves as the third book? Because that's easily the worst of the series if so.

I personally think the two short story books are the best of the Witcher series, though I did enjoy the five book series as well. But I found Blood of elves pretty weak and uneven. The prose isn't the best since it's a translation though, If imagine it's better in Polish.

Yeah it’s Blood of Elves. I’m about 75% through it. It’s just a slog.

I enjoyed the first 3, will be listening to the rest soon. It's fast paced and easy to follow.

Very short. It's good though. First one took me an hour or two.

Finished Expeditionary force series after seeing it suggested on here. After 16 books I thought it would end but there will be 2 more it seems. Was very entertaining. Not sure what do read next as it's been about 3 months of the same series

I just finished book 15. Gotta wait a week for my next audible credit to get the last one. I have very much enjoyed it. Skippy is Awesomely an a-hole that I actually wouldn't mind having around.

What’s wrong with the female characters??

This is my absolute favorite series of all time. I have read them all at least 3 times some more, and the only issues I have is the ending and feel like Jordan would have and should have finished to the best of his ability. Then endings with th characters just didn’t play the parts as I really thought they were and the way Jordan portrayed their importance.

Mat an Perrin just didn’t play the parts they were supposed to imo as the genius general with all of the greatest minds ever all swimming in his head and ties with the seachan just soooooo disappointed in Sanderson input and how he wrote it, was just rushed and I understand that it’s not his series but damn, the ending hurt and made me sad didn’t build up with the climax I expected…

Other then the ending though I loved all the characters

About to start Red Rising. Is it full blown Sci-Fi or is there some fantasy mixed in as well?

It's sort of dystopian space opera. Definitely not "hard scifi," but there's no "magic" or fantasy elements of that nature in it.

I told a buddy if he'd read The First Law trilogy I would read this. Everyone on here seems to talk good about it too,
