Now that the semester is over I can get back to some serious rereading, during this I'm going to write some notes on some of the things I picked up. Maybe I can shine some light on things that have been missed.

If anyone has time to read the Grand Northern conspiracy theory linked by Dire Wolf, you won't regret it. I just finished and I am convinced. It is not quite so ironclad as R+L=J, I think, but it is pretty damn good. Great read.

I also saw this incredibly Crackpot thread on the ASOIAF about Mance being Rhaegar
. I'm 99.9% sure that Mance and Rhaegar are separate people and that the latter has been dead for 17 years, but if you enjoy reading and exploring Crackpot theories, this is a good one to check out:

I'm 90% positive/think that Season 4 will premiere on March 30th.
Oh and the GRRM-written episode is going to be episode 2, the Purple Wedding episode.

Every season has started the weekend of the Final Four (at least the last two). That's usually the last weekend in March. The 30th is probably the right date.

I doubt they'll do midget jousting. I think Joffrey will somehow get his way and serve Sansa Robb's head, which will make Tyrion go apeshit.

i dont think you have to read the GNC to believe in it.. its sort of a no brainer of an idea, and what would typically happen in a good vs evil scenario.
which, based on GRRM's tendencies, makes me certain that the GNC will get started, but get wiped out by the Others, or a dragon or something else, right when it looks like they are about to retake the north..
what makes this a certainty. im genuinely asking.. i believe it, i just would like to know where to read more about it
