Interesting theory on who might be carrying Dawn:
Checked YouTube and a video from GrayArea popped up in which she posts what is to me a very interesting theory (backed well but not conclusively by some footage) about a certain sword. And I think she may have something.
I'm not sure if this is technically spoilerish but if accurate it could foreshadow future developments pretty heavily - so PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK:
Her theory is that the sword Beric Dondarion has been carrying is, in fact, Dawn, the sword of Arthur Dayne. She backs it up with some shots of the sword - on Dondarion's saddle, being picked up by Thoros when he heard the Hound digging and then shoved into the ground when Thoros helped the Hound, etc. The shape of the pomell is pretty much an exact match for Dawn, though none of the shots show it clearly enough to see if the sunrise motif is on it.
I think it's a well thought out theory.

And he disabled comments for the post. fricking coward. So, this is pretty clear notification that we are not getting TWoW in 2017 and some possibility that we will not get it in 2018 either. frick that son of a bitch.
I am subscribing to the thought that he had tangled the story lines so much that he can't figure out how to bring them back together. Him disabling comments on his posts now tells us that he is obviously sensitive to the fans angry jabs, so that leads be to believe that he would rather not produce anything that try to half-assed throw it together and produce something overly shitty.
I can say with honesty that I have never hated someone as much as I hate him. Not even the guy who ran over my dog when I was a child, and frick that guy too.

But that definition makes him an investor of the books not the author. Buying merchandise doesn't incentivize the author to write a page.

No. First off in order to get Jaime's face, then Jaime has to be dead likely by Arya's hands. Secondly it's detrimental to Jaime and Cersei's character development. I would really like for Jaime to tell Cersei why he actually killed Aerys and then kill her once she realizes she has turned into Aerys.
I'm almost sure he has only told Brienne why he did it. I think Cersei would be a bit more sensitive around Wildfire for Jaime and Tyrion would have thought back to Jaime saving Kings Landing when they found the barrels of Wildfire throughout King's Landing.
