TMZ Sports has this crazy footage of ex-NFL QB Marcus Vick (Michael Vick's brother) escaping from cops on foot during an incident back in April. He eventually gives up and is captured at gunpoint...

Haha, Hear that..."If he ran I knew we weren't gonna catch him." Per TMZ...
quote:

It all started at a gym in Newport News, Virginia -- when cops were questioning the 32-year-old about a warrant out for his arrest stemming from a civil case.

Vick spoke with cops for nearly 10 minutes before suddenly deciding to make a run for it -- shoving 2 cops out of the way, breaking tackles -- and SPRINTING down the street.

Cops gave chase ... but Vick is WAYYYYYYY FASTER (he ran a 4.42 in the 40 at the 2006 NFL Combine).
Marcus was convicted of resisting arrest and sentenced to a year in jail with 11 months suspended, along with 12 months probation. Remember this dude...

Just rewatched. He didn't push the officer to the ground. Seems they are saying the push off I assume.

Dude is still an idiot

If they were only questioning him, how is he charged with resisting arrest? When has it been a crime to not speak to authorities?

Im not saying he isnt a dumbass bc he def is, but unless he plead down to that, thats a bullshite add on charge cops are allowed to do. (Let the downvotes pour in)

Did you stop at the word questioning? Because a few words later the phrase "warrant for arrest" appears.

Why would Vick go to all that trouble to get a huge lead on them and then just sit down? He just had a change of heart? Morality kicked in?

Since they were originally talking to him about a warrant on him, they knew who he was. He may have been able to run away right then, but they would have caught him later anyway.

Dam shame he let all that talent go to waste just to be a wanna be thug running around in Newport News. I'm from Louisiana, but I currently live in NN.I feel like I'm in purgatory here. I'm going home in Early next year. This place is the butthole of America. Nothing ghettos and Klan country...

The cop who had him gunpoint sure as hell didn't. He was holding a gun on him right when another officer came up to cuff him right at 1:12. Should have pointed it at the ground to avoid a terrible accident.
