It was revealed earlier this week that CBS had to have intervention with Tony Romo about his preparation prior to calling NFL games. During a recent interview with the New York Post, Romo opened up about his progress as a broadcaster and the complaints some have with him...
quote:

“I think you’re always evolving,” Romo told Jenna Lemoncelli. “Some changes are good, some you’re like, ‘Ah, I shouldn’t do that.’ But I always trial and error a bunch and sometimes it works.

“I mean, the ability to adapt and learn, if you never try to change at all — I just think like the best players in the world aren’t afraid of failure. You’re going to fail all the time, but at the same time, you succeed because of that, as long as you think about it and try to understand how to improve and then go about the process to make that happen, which is work ethic and commitment. But you got to have a plan for it before.”

That is an example of saying a lot at the same time saying nothing. It is like his broadcasts.

I wish he and the other color commentators didn’t talk nonstop from tackle to snap of the next play. It’s like the directors are urging them to keep blathering at all times.

Fox paying Larry to post these negative Romo headlines is pretty random lol

I think he is pretty good. He gives his honest perspective from a former players viewpoint. Maybe sometimes too candidly.

Romo was a very good QB. I believe he'd be a Super Bowl winner had the NFL known what a catch was in Green Bay.

Lol. Right. It was the Green Bay game keeping him from hardware. Today I learned 0-4 in the divisional round is “very good”. Ok.

Hey Stiles, if you attempt to use that lump 3 feet above your ass, you may come to realize that football is a team game. Tony Romo was a very good QB on a bunch of sorry teams.

he is quite bad at broadcasting, but there are many worse. Orlovsky, Stinchcomb, Gilmore, etc.
