Thomas ran at Tahlequah High School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where she earned All-State honors for the 100m. She also placed third at the state championship in the 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400 events respectively. Along with track, Thomas played volleyball at Tahlequah, where she earned All-State honors in 2018.
During her first year with Oklahoma State in 2019, Thomas ran seven sprints for the Cowgirls and finished in 16th place in the 100m at the John Jacobs Invitational. For the 2019 Indoors season, Thomas sprinted three times in the 60m in her first season with the Pokes. She ran a season-best 8.01 in the preliminaries at the Texas Tech Shootout. Thomas’ personal bests for the 2019 track season were 8.01 in the 60m, 12.01 in the 100m and 25.32 in the 200m.
