In most cases the players stock or fall based on
their performance at the combine. Matt Leinert’s
stock didn’t fall because he stayed an extra year at USC, it fell when they found out he couldn’t make allot of the throws. His arm didn’t get weaker, the USC offense just covered this up.
A player can certainly improve his stock, but there’s a whole new group of draft eligible player that have gotten better than they were and the player who comes back might fall behind several of them
