After a few dismal seasons Scott Frost is finally out at Nebraska. According to Ivan Maisel of On3 Sports, retired Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos recalled Frost's sales pitch before getting hired...
quote:

"Scott said, ‘I want to have the Husker toughness and the Oregon finesse,’" Moos said. "That recipe just never really folded into a good product."

If they’d hung onto Frost for only 3 more weeks, they could have saved $7.5 million on his buyout. As bad as he was, I’d have put up with him for 3 more weeks.

I think they paid the extra buyout as a favor to CSF. He is a Husker alum and all…let him off easy.

Frost tried his best but it didn't work out. Nebraska doesn't want to look cheapskate for the next coach they're trying to get.

I have said for years that offense would not work there. Nebraska is punch u in the mouth football. Frost needs to go to Florida.

Is he the same dude who had the high IQ in Friday Night Lights?

When your recruiting base is giant OL and big TEs, you probably should just try to play a run-heavy scheme.

Finesse is a good idea at UCF, but when you don't have the right amount of players with speed and quick twitch in the heartland you are wasting your time.

Scott Frost only had one winning season as a head coach, and it was that one undefeated season at UCF that got him the Nebraska job. That's the risk universities run when they hire a guy based on only a single good year. I mean, Orgeron had probably the best year in college history, and we all know what kind of coach he was.

It’s becoming really obvious that Josh Heupul was the main reason for the success while Frost was at UCF. Nebraska needs to get over the glory days and have an actual coaching search.

Obvious to who? UCF got worse and worse under Huepul.

Ask Georgia about Oregon's finesse and how well that worked out for them.

Frost did not have a sales pitch to get hired. He was employed at UCF and Nebraska chased him for weeks, sucking his dick, until he agreed to come. He did not approach Nebraska.

They didn’t need to suck anything. He was coming regardless (pardon the pun).

So you're saying they did not need to, but just did it because they like it? There was so much suction happening in Orlando that they pulled 4 Haitians, a Dominican, and 2 more Cubans to the US.
