I bet you’ll see a lot more batted balls hit the bases now. It will be interesting to see how some new rules effect play this year and I’m here for it.

They say this will encourage stolen base attempts....even with the extra inches no one will touch Ricky Henderson's single season record ever. For reference, last years leader got 41. Ricky's record is 130.

you can't be afraid of change because of past records. Hell, football rules were changed to benefit offenses, and the game has been transformed with explosive offenses. Basketball added a shot clock and 3-point line. No one should get hung up on past statistics and records - just continue to make the game better going forward.
