On Saturday night in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, former MLB star Asdrubal Cabrera leveled an opponent with a punch/clothesline to set off a huge brawl...
quote:

It all started when Tiburones de La Guaira's Carlos Castro blasted his third home run of the night. Castro celebrated that bomb with an emphatic bat flip and jawed a little bit with his opponents, Caribes de Anzoategui. Cabrera wasn't having it. He ran over and lit up Castro.

for a bat flip and a few seconds of trash talk toward the dugout??? Good lord, worse stuff happens after almost every play in football. Baseball players are soft.

I prefer this to having someone throw a projectile 95 mph at his head when he's not expecting it.

I do too. But in MLB ball you do that and you get suspended or thrown out of a game. Back in the day when MLB let the players decide how things go taken care of players new if they mouthed off that it was going to hurt next bat. Now they know MLB protects the player who started it and punishes the player who tries to stop it.

A. that wasn't even a punch, just a forearm to the throat.
B. Baseball players are so soft. So the batter did a little bat flip and jawed with the dugout for a couple seconds. BFD. Such pansies.

No, he isn’t. That hitter fafo. He might not get decked in the majors but you better believe there would be multiple batters hit and a bench clearing brawl later in hat game or series.

At some point in time batters needs to learn not to walk 20 feet and then flip their bat at the opponent’s dugout.
