I respect the shoutout to Jones. Dude has epic moments for both football and baseball.

Hard not to say Honey Badger. I know he’s got to be humble and all, but the truth is the truth. Matthieu was out of this world athletic at LSU. I’ve never seen anyone do the kind of stuff he did here on the defensive side of the ball.

Mike Miley and Johnny Robinson were two of the best athletes to ever don an LSU uniform.

It’s really a hard question to answer because so many can make an argument for too 5. Maravich, Charles Alexander, Chris Jackson, etc.

Robinson and Stovall overlooked constantly

Can’t argue with probably the greatest athlete of all time’s list. Except that I would have him on it.

It’s basically ‘in my lifetime list’. He is not astute in LSU sports history only recent.

I commend his respect for PP7. Peterson was a huge influence in his life and career coming into the NFL. Peterson was a very good athlete and did awesome things at LSU, but his respect and thankfulness to PP7 is awesome.

Good list but you have to have Marivich and Cannon in there. Greatest basketball ball handler with so many national records and the Heisman trophy winner. Would be hard for the last 3 bc of the number of greats in LSU history

Shaq and Maravich should be on any list, probably Burrow too. After that there’s probably a logjam. Mathieu probably deserves consideration. Ben McDonald, Casanova, Devon White, Kevin Faulk. Might all be considered

Hard to argue with that list when you explain it the way he did. Guy has turned himself into a hell of a leader.

Many great players on that list. Great players don’t mean great athletes. Athletes would be beast at multiple sports and movements not just one sport or jumping and running. . Baseball is hard, baseball guys are almost always good at hand eye coordination and multiple movements.

Not a bad list. A little too much recency bias, but hard to argue with anyone on the list.

Agreed, Pete Maravich would have to be on such a list if all time was considered.
