I really wish coach Eaux allows Myles to lose the job than give it to Maxx because he’s waited so long for the opportunity. Myles should work on his pocket awareness and he should be alright . I’d he’s not given the starting Qb position I’d transfer out .

I dunno - kid looks pretty dang sharp to me. But I’m no QB expert for sure.

Brennan gets hurt too many times and doesn't have the strength to compete in the SEC. He is a very nice person but doesn't have the "IT" factor. He doesn't move around the pocket very well as he is slow of foot.

I feel sorry for Brennan. Kids a good qb but he’s going to lose out in this one. Just too much talent at qb

Weren’t you just shitting on Lebron for doing the same thing? It’s like 5 posts lower

You misunderstand. The Lebron post is about a father with his son. This post is about a son with his father. No other difference in the situations.

Arm looks weak. Hopefully he has good anticipation

He needs to go Tom House. I believe Burrow, Brees, and Brady have all gone to him.

The kid looks better when he’s got pressure on him. Tbh he looks a little more awkward without competition and more natural while playing against competition. Kinda crazy but just an observation from me.

That is exactly why Finley played before him. During controlled drills,I’m sure Finley lit it up, like Booty versus Rohan. But in live action, Johnson shines the most

Max is bowed up. You can tell he’s put on mass. It’s exciting to see what is in store for him. He’s definitely got the tools.

Brad is the one that is bowed up.

Biggest concern is deep passing. His go routes were mostly really poor. Hopefully he’s getting some work in those areas.

Good, because he struggled in the Spring game.

Geeez......You 'nega-tigers' must have MISERABLE lives.

If he struggled in the spring game then our other QBs looked like dog shi%. He was easily the most consistent of all the QBs. Plus it was a spring game with different personnel coming in / out, new offense, and new defense. To me he looked quite efficient in the spring game considering.

@BayouBengal99 you're obviously blind. Come sept, I'm going to pull for whoever's under center. The cleat chasers ( mostly guys) and the casual LSU fan want Johnson. I like the fact that Myles doesn't put everything he does on social media.

It isn't often you see a QB that young carrying that much healthy mass.

Brennan is a much better pure passer than Johnson. Looks like Max is working hard and I hope he’s ready whenever his name is called.

Max Johnson will inevitably win the starting job for LSU in 2021 because he gives LSU's offense another new dimension that is completely absent under Myles Brennan. As Johnson is far harder to defend against relative to Brennan. As Brennan is no threat to run and Johnson is. Which also makes the running and passing games flow better as well. Brennan has a good arm in the pocket as long as he isn't pressured, but if he is under pressure and forced to leave the pocket, he rarely completes a pass. Brennan was also horrible in third and fourth down situations last season and in the redzone he also sucked pretty damn bad. Johnson, on the other hand, was far better than Brennan in third and fourth down situations and inside the redzone. Plus Johnson is astronomically far better than Brennan at extending plays for positive yards. In other words, Johnson's tool box is far superior to Brennan's tool box and that's why Johnson will be the inevitable starter for LSU in 2021.

Furthermore, Brennan is not a much better pure passer relative to Johnson. I mean, when Joe Burrow was here, you people were saying the same exact thing relative to Joe Burrow. Brennan is a decent passer, but not a much better passer, as long as he has time in the pocket to pass, which is not often. Moreover, under pressure or when he has to leave the pocket, Brennan rarely completes a pass, and again last season Brennan was atrocious on third and fourth down situations and in the redzone. Over all Max is the better passer and is far better at extending plays for positive yards relative to Brennan. Plus Max is also far better in third and fourth down situations and in the red zone relative to Brennan.
