Heisman is a joke, whichever team goes the furthest will have the front-runner. Instead of the best player in college football, it's either the star player on a late contender or a pinball stats player. They don't even follow their own motto "The Heisman Memorial Trophy Award, is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football in the United States whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity."

LF is a monster. Man I wish we could keep him for a longer time.

LF was the best player last year. Just wasn't on the best team.

I'm confused, doesn't LF play for LSU, not Bama?

The best player in college football SHOULD be the Heisman frontrunner. That is LF7.

You spelled DeShaun Watson wrong.

LF7 needs some big games on prime time....Wisconsin to start the season off at Lambeau and he definitely needs a better showing against Bama. He does what he did last year and puts up 125+ against Bama the trophy is his. Otherwise not so much.

I hope the rest of NASA has better reading comprehension skills than you do.

It has to be him this year. I don't see Watson or Mccaffrey being able to duplicate this time around.

I'd love to have a heisman but I wonder if that would mean we didn't progress elsewhere. Well the last heisman winning rb won the championship so there's that.

He was robbed last year. Hope Les Miles unleashes him this year and leaves no room for debate.

How was he robbed last year?

He wasn't robbed the Heisman itself, but he was definitely robbed a spot in NYC.

McCaffrey is probably the best player in the country. I see him as the favorite this year.

"LF was the best player last year. Just wasn't on the best team.". Sorry, Derrick Henry was the best player last year. He proved it time and time again against the best teams in the biggest games. LF did not.

I really think that McCaffery deserved the Heisman last year, Henry was great and stepped up down the stretch but the all around excellence that McCaffery displayed was amazing. That being said if LF had ended the season the way he started (multiple 200+ yd games and the highlight runs against AU, UF, Syracuse etc) then I think he would have won it hands down.

Derek Henry got the ball 25-35 times a game, running behind a good O-line, playing in a favorable system on and playing for Alabama. That's why he won the headman. Do you really think he would put up the same numbers on a mediocre team? No. LF probably could
