Love this response from Tyrann Mathieu to football executive Bill Polian after he predicted that Joe Burrow will struggle in his rookie season with the Bengals...

Mathieu deleted the tweet directed towards Polian but here's what it said, per 247Sports:
quote:

"Same guy who said he wouldn't draft me cause I wasn't a leader?" Mathieu said via a quote-tweet response to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, whom Polian joined on Tuesday's new episode of the Adam Schefter Podcast in which the dig at Burrow was made. "Imma 3x Team Captain. Said I don’t deserve The opportunity to provide for my family ? I'm one of the highest paid players at my position. LETS GEAUX JOE."

It’s doubters like this that create extra motivation for competitors. Bill may have rubbed TM7 the wrong way but TM remembers what Bill Polian said about him and he choose to prove him wrong! Haters can either bring you down and be right or you make them eat crow. Burreaux, make them eat crow!

Polian couldn't carry Joe Burrow's jock strap if he was using a wheel barrow. apparently he has a problem speaking in public.

Polian on Burrow: "Joe Burrow's gonna struggle. He's gonna struggle. He's so far behind now, lord. This is Bill Parcells: The best way to learn how to play football is to play football. And we played football in training camp - and in OTAs to a certain extent - and we're not doing that this year. So there will be - no - those guys will have a hard time. By the way, this is a statistic that I verified the other day - it's ... from 1996 to 2013, so it's a big enough sample size to be accurate: First-round quarterbacks succeed at a winning level in their first two years at 34 percent of the time. Try that one on for size. Think about it: Peyton Manning had ... 28 interceptions his rookie year."

Polian is the same guy who said Lamar Jackson wasn’t a NFL QB and he should move to WR.

He's just saying it's because of the lack of normal camp time. This is a nothing quote.

"He's so far behind". This is a guy with an extremely high IQ that graduated from The Ohio State in 3 years, has a master's degree and quarterbacked one of the most successful offenses in college history but yeah he probably won't be able to pick up Cincinatti's offense quickly. Geez!

Bill Polian’s next gig will be to coach UGA. He’s the only one who could perfect UGA’s choke artist game to an even higher level than it already is at.

Bill Polian has never been a coach what are you talking about. That's right, just like your buddies you don't know nothing about football.

So Zeek, you're saying that Havoc knows something about football?

Bill Polian can’t even comprehend the existence of Joe Burrow; he can’t even grasp the concept, because Polian is the biggest choke artist coach in the history of football, whereas Burrow is the best, most incredible, clutch artist winner ass-kicker ever in college football. Polian thinks Burrow is 00100&$(*^%toaster*%{! Bleep overloadsystemcrash.

AJ Green, Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgins at WR; Dixon and Bernard at RB. If their OL comes together, he will be fine. Where did we hear that in 2019? You Geaux Joe!

Tyrann if you didn't do what you did to get kicked off the team. You are a top 5 draft pick and you wouldn't be commenting about this. You let everybody down including yourself. I am a honey badger fan and I am glad that you used that negativity to better yourself.

@zeek, he didn't let me down. Also, he seems to be doing fine. Young men make mistakes. Don't pretend to know what he was, going through in college.

I have to admit that Zeek is somewhat correct here. Mathieu absolutely let his team down and the entire state at the time. I’m sure TM would also agree. That’s not a knock on him. That’s what he needed to get to where he is today. I’m happy that he realized what is truly important in life. Can’t let a freakn plant imprison you. We are the rulers of this earth. The earth is ours to use wisely. Mathieu finally realized this fact when his world was taken from him. He’s a smart man. He was just an ignorant boy then. Of course I did forgive Mathieu a long time ago but he indeed let us all down with his past actions (at the time). I’m sure he regrets it bigly. But I’m sure he also appreciates it for being where he is now once the lesson was learned. He’s a good dude and I believe he always was. He just so happens to be very good at football. One of my favorite Tigers of all time, Tyrann Mathieu!
