Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports
Former Georgia and current Los Angles Rams running back Todd Gurley had some interesting comments about who he thinks is "Running Back University." Per TMZSports.com:
quote:

"That's what we do at Georgia, we breed running backs. We're 'Running Back U,'" Gurley declared.

"LSU might think they're 'Running Back U' ... y'all after us ... and then maybe Bama."

Here is a look at the Georgia RB's that were on NFL rosters last season, according to ESPN.

Todd Gurley, RB, St. Louis Rams
Keith Marshall, RB, Washington Redskins

And LSU...

Alfred Blue, RB, Houston Texans
Jeremy Hill, RB, Cincinatti Bengals
Spencer Ware, RB Kansas City Chiefs
Stevan Ridley, RB, New York Jets - Reserve/PUP list.

Gurley is better than all those guys combined and he probably has more yards than they do in 1 year than their combined careers.

As a UGA grad, it kinda pisses me off to hear Gurley say this. Not only because I've never heard LSU claim to be RBU, but mostly because Leonard Fournette, in humble fashion, literally said that he didn't think he was as good a RB as Nick Chubb. Keep it classy Gurley...

Give Gurley some credit here... Keith Marshall was a gamechanger for the Redskins at fourth string runningback

It's good for him that he is a talented athlete. He wasn't going to get very far on his intelligence.

Keith Marshall just got drafted this year. Is there another Keith Marshall I don't know about? So Gurley was the only UGA RB on an NFL roster last year. Georgia isn't allowed to claim Crowell either. LSU had 3 starting RBs on 3 separate playoff teams just last year.

Keith Marshall was not on an NFL roster last year. He was just drafted in the 7th round last month...

Sorry coach. I think I speak on behalf of all of the fans when I say we'll bust our asses in practice this week. Fans win championships right?

You do that. You focus on winning the SEC. Les appreciates your efforts.

First, this argument is pointless. Everybody's gonna say they are the best. What I do know is I wasn't impressed when we played. D. Henry made him look like a backup. The best back Bama faced last year was Hurd and its no competition but whatever blows up their skirt. Elliot may be the best in this draft but even he had some days where he didn't look so good.

Really? Let's make fun of a young mans injury that almost ruined his career. You're a POS for that. By the way, he had a great year last year.

LSU is NFL-U. We produce productivity at the NFL level.

Then there must be something terrible about the University and the alumni of LSU that make all these amazing players not want to play for the school but for themselves instead.

Not to mention. LF7, Darrell Williams, Derrius Guice, and up and coming Nick Brousette. Cmon Gurly Boy.

He forgot about I Crowell, and Moreno before the injury. Next we got Chubb and Sony Michel. Who is after that? Holyfield, Zamir White. The list goes on.

Guice could shite on anyone UGA has to offer

Seems kind of random to single out LSU. The only college I can remember making a claim to be "running back U" was USCw back in the day

That's a very Jimmy the Greek statement by Gurley. They breed running backs?
