Crystal LoGiudice-USA TODAY Sports
SEC Football Lead Writer Barrett Sallee with the Bleacher Report released his preseason SEC predictions for the 2016 and says that LSU will finish 5th in the SEC behind Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Texas A&M.
quote:

SEC West

1. Alabama
2. Ole Miss
3. Auburn
4. Texas A&M
5. LSU
6. Mississippi State
7. Arkansas

"Then there's LSU. The Tigers are essentially a mirror image of what they were last year. The defense should stay elite thanks to returning stars and the arrival of new coordinator Dave Aranda, and the running game is in good hands with Leonard Fournette and Derrius Guice. But head coach Les Miles has employed an ultra-conservative offense for nearly a decade and hasn't shown the creativity and flexibility needed to win games 45-42 consistently when Plan A doesn't work. I can't count on that changing this offseason, which is why I have the Tigers tied for third in the SEC West with Auburn and Texas A&M but losing the head-to-head tiebreaker with each to finish fifth."
LSU finished 4th in the SEC West last season with a 9-3 (SEC 5-3) record.

If an intelligent sports fan wants to say LSU will finish behind Alabama this year, that's fair. But returning 19 starters and everyone from the skill posistions with better assistant coaches and we finish worst that last year. LOL

Paul Finebaum even called this guy an idiot 3 weeks ago when it was said.

This guy is out of touch with reality if he thinks LSU's win streak against A&M ends this year.

Why does he think LSU's defense was elite last year?

It truly amazes me how quickly people have forgotten the 2013 offense that featured a 3000 yard passer, two 1100 yard receivers, and a 1400 yard rusher.

And lost three games.

Carville, those 3 losses were clearly on the defense. That offense was potent.

During which season we...wait for it...finished 5th in the SEC. It amazes me how quickly people don't remember that part.

Love it when LSU is picked low

I agree with the justification, but the teams that he claim will beat us. Didn't we obliterate Auburn last year!? Didn't we just get to WR that Harris can just air it out to and let them go get it!? Didn't Ole Miss's entire core get drafted? When was the last time A&M actually beat us!? Looking at our schedule, the only competition is Bama. And if Les we step back and let Cam run a balanced offensive scheme, Bama won't be much of a resistance either!

What I gathered from this article is that Bleacher Report doesn't drug test their writers

Two things:
1. LSU will NOT finish 5th in SEC-W.
2. Arkansas will NOT finish 7th in SEC-W.
Someone failed to check this "sports writers" credentials at the door.

I'm skeptical of the offense and all, but this is way overboard. Keep in mind this dude is an Auburn grad that roots for Bama. His articles should be taken with a grain of salt.

Hmmm conservative offense and elite defense....when was the last time we had that?

so, this guy thinks we are not a good team because he finds our offense boring....sounds a lot like a good portion of our fansbase...

Boring or (with the exception of the Mett year) historically bad against the better part of our schedule?

Bleacher Report.

Man, they let ANYONE call themselves a Sportswriter at SEC Media Days. Especially the ones with a Bama slant.

Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!!

He's not wrong about Les and the offense, but the defense was not good last year. Either way, I don't see us losing to A&M and Auburn, and I have no idea why he thinks Ole Miss will do so well, given what they've lost.

I would expect no less from An Auburn alumni
