Btw, Sanky looks like he just got pounded by an elephant trunk, really doesn't want to be here, but damn I guess he should say something... Of course it was well prepared by the bama staff. Just like the rest of college football as the #fatphants continue to keep their winning well oiled and paid for in cash, blood, favors of all kinds... Saban will look back at his life and finally realize he was just an unwitting accomplice to Robbery.
I love how all the questions were simply that, questions with no opinion, answers, or insight. All smoke and mirrors to address but not address the obvious officiating favoritism and Sanky got to use a buzz word(hated) "Deep Dive", his favorite buzz word or was it a part of the bama prepared statement which says a lot without actually saying anything of value. Any or All of these, the NCAA, ESPN, SEC, SEC Network, a&m, and other storied programs, could have been involved in the officiating favoritism, from missed calls in favor of a&m, calls not reviewed that should have been, calls made in favor of a&m, and the kicker, calls made, reviewed and still made the obviously favorite, a&m. No one, not ESPN, NCAA, SEC, anyone, etc... is going to touch that game about the officiating, because everyone knows the truth. Herbstreit even said during the College GameDay in Death Valley before the bama-LSU game, that LSU would definitely lose to a&m. Not like a hunch, guess, or anything other than a matter of fact. I saw him stop himself after what looked like from the number of people shouting before he pulled any unwanted attention to his comment and the crew jumped in and redirected to other subjects.
At least the corruption used to be very limited and well hidden. Now you see the "Actors"(Coaches, AD's, Analyst, Sports personalities, team boosters, Refs, teams, etc.), of this "Mens Drama or Mens Soap Opera", formerly known as wrestling, now college football all openly showing favoritism so that we the viewers start accepting it as the rule instead of the occasional exception to the rule, so to speak. Meanwhile, the majority of viewers and fans are sheep and cattle as they can't see the "line" that gets you to the "finish line". And the Drama, for example Another big "Historical" National Title run for bama winning as many as possible in a short period of time, the obvious elevation and comparison of Saban to Bear, all while trying to bring them to the finish line with a n undefeated season and NC win, The Heisman Winner, the want to make this years team look like "one of if not the best to ever play college football", what a joke College Football has become.
I stopped watching the NFL because of the trading, the money, franchise players(Joke), etc... I watched college football because it was relatively fair and not too corrupt. Not saying it isn't a cutthroat business, but once on the field for the game, it actually came down to the players, coaches, "The teams". Now it's so bad you have teams pushed out because they don't like the fact that B10, B12, Pac, and ACC are not the football juggernauts like the SEC and big teams in the South. The CFP is trying to work and place the best teams, then you have the forced wins or losses to make it possible to move OSU a bunch of spots and drop a teams like LSU by a huge amount of spots to buffer just in case the supposed leaders lose the final game or a championship game. Oh and LSU is semi-pacified with a big six bowl against UCF, as other teams playing in the CFP or a better bowl from the SEC pat us on the back and say "you gonna kick their arse, for the SEC". Like as if there is any team in the SEC or College Football that is more taken care of than the #rolltossers, #lowtide, #crimsontampon, #the-elephant-in-the-room, literally. Got to break old historic records.
I say make the whole top 24 a playoff system. Teams ranked 1-4 in one of the big six bowls for the National Championship and winner of the bowl, then 5-8 in another big six bowl with the winner being the bowl winner, then 9-12, 13-16, 17-20, and finally 21-24. That's six sets of 4 team playoffs with a real prize for teams not playing in the NC Bowl. This format could be followed to include all bowl eligible teams, and eliminate some of these ridiculous bowl games. Plus, it would give us a great measure of some of these so called "good" teams not in the Power 5, like UCF(What a fricking joke).
Hmm, don't like my way too long comment? Hehe someone has to say it, and apparently people I thought were fair and good at their jobs(Herby) lost their balls somewhere along the way to his wife/family, ESPN/SEC, and/or bama/Saban.
