Hate to say this but the ACC statement sounds a lot smarter than the SEC's statement

I’ll be watching football on Saturdays this fall. It may be replays of the 2019 season, but I’ll be watching...

Looks like with no other conferences playing LSU has locked up back to back championships. All except those pesky sun belt teams lol

What are you talking about? Along with the SEC 2 other P5 conferences are still playing as of right now.

Tigers4Lyfe True, but we beat those 2 conferences' champions by a combined 52 points, so it's not like those conferences really count.

Tim Fontenot I seriously thought the SEC was going the first to have the balls to stand up to all the coronobros in the media, democrats and the far left administrators but it is the BIG 12. Congratulations to them. Also I believe the two schools against postponement in the WIMPY ten Iowa and Nebraska will play and later join the Big 12.

Big 12 just announced they are continuing forward to play ball this fall. SEC and ACC follow and let's roll. If all players from both teams test negative within game week and a day before the game, then what in the hell is the problem with them playing full contact football. No one has Covid, so play frigging ball

I think there will be too much push from players and parents in the South East which also covers many ACC teams. The big 12 really has no excuse. Most of their states weren’t hit hard, besides Texas. There are no hospitalizations with players who did catch it. And if Drs would balls up and allow players to take Plaquinal then this wouldn’t even be an issue. Sorry but I know way too many personal cases that have had success with this medicine to say anything but it works. Look at the graphs of nations that used this medicine from the beginning on a wide scale. Their deaths are minimal. I actually don’t know anyone who had any negative impact from using the medicine. Drs just don’t prescribe it because of the media backlash and political fall out. If the SEC, ACC and Big 12 move forward then big time players will have the right to jump ship to play their seasons. This will cause the others to play as well. That’s my hope!!!

Spot on.......The liberals will stop at nothing to disrupt our way of life and now it has entered college sports. These kids are safer at school in a VERY controlled environment vs. hanging out in bars on the weekends. SEC and ACC if smart, should see this as an opportunity to strengthen their position in college sports. Make informed decisions not based on politics!

Sounds like Sankey is waffling already. Players should have a seat at the table. And the people who ultimately pay for all this (the fans) should have a seat at the table. And no seat for Tedros and Xi

The Big 10's move made it very difficult for football to happen this year. Pressure will be too great.

Are the fans who ultimately pay for all this (convenient you left out what the tv contracts pay for) going to pay for the impending liability suits that are to follow as well?

Think this much more about not letting players having a seat at the table. Plus a players association like trevor Lawrence has asked for than health and safety.

Saban is right...if these kids aren’t in sports, getting tested twice per week (with their time occupied working out etc) they’re likely to be hanging out with friends and doing everything kids their age do. They’re much safer participating in sports, being monitored etc than they would be without it. This is political pandering or the schools coming to the realization that they can’t make money in this environment. I’m not sure which one it is yet. Tired of them acting like they’re making these decisions for the safety of the player.

I guess they should just totally discount any liability lawsuits that may come their way if they play. That's what you are saying right? What if in a year's time it is discovered that contracting COVID19 leads to an enlarged heart. I'm not saying it will happen, but what if it does? This is just one example of what the suits need to be concerned about and what they are talking about when they need more time to learn more.

They need to just space out the games in case there is a outbreak they can quarantine before the next game. Play the entire season but have a week off in between each game. The season may extend into Feb/March. They wouldn’t lost so much money, injuries would decrease, players have more time for classwork, etc. I don’t know if it’d work but I also haven’t seen that proposed anywhere either. So what if the season drags on, no football is freakin miserable.

I think ALL the sports leagues could spread their games out. Football can play every 3 weeks.
