Now that USC has officially hired interim coach Clay Helton as their permanent head coach, FootballScoop.com is reporting that Helton will most likely will make staff changes and could possibly target LSU defensive line coach Ed Orgeron to join the team.
quote:

USC: Sources tell FootballScoop that Clay Helton is planning to make a number of staff changes following the season. One source told FootballScoop that Helton has spoken with Ed Orgeron. O and Helton are good friends and have a deep respect for each other. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of this.
Orgeron was the defensive line coach at USC from 2010-2013 and was promoted to interim head coach when Lane Kiffin was fired during the 2013 season.

He was also an assistant coach at USC from 1998–2004.

Frick UsC they had a chance to hire him as their HC after Kiffin and they screwed up and let him walk for Steve Sarkisian. Hopefully he remembers that and says thanks but if I wasn't good enough for you then, you're not good enough for me now. Or frick you pay me

Based on who we had coming back, the line wasn't supposed to be as good as it is. Could have been better, but at the same time O could have been here years ago and it probably would be.

USC pissed on him twice when they hired two head coaches the last two years over him. No way he is headed west.

I love Coach O here but some are y'all think LSUs defense line was anything but mediocre are crazy. LSU got raped by Bama AND Arkansas. The line needs improvement. Also, If they can't get to the QB the DBs will get owned.

I hope they don't offer him the defensive coordinator gig there because he'd take it IMO. I wish we would promote him to DC.

Why in the hell would O go back there? Is Haden the same AD that wouldn't promote him to HC there?

Coach O isn't going anywhere unless a school offers him a head coaching position.
