LSU plans to stick with Matt McMahon next season and increase the team's NIL budget, according to Shea Dixon.

McMahon is currently in his third season as LSU's head coach with a 12-12 (1-10 SEC) record.

LSU went 14-19 (2-16 SEC) in his first season in Baton Rouge and 17-16 (9-9 SEC) with a trip to the NIT First-Round in year two.

LSU's NIL budget in basketball reportedly ranks amongst the lowest in the SEC, along with South Carolina.

Matt McMahon signed three Top-100 players in the 2025 recruiting class and can now be more aggressive in the transfer portal with an increased NIL budget.

I thought 3 yrs was plenty enough time. Why another yr for what ? What will that do? The basketball facilities suck the Lsu women are doing ok with the bottom of the barrel facilities as far as the worst in the country to work with. What more is there to prove? They need a new leader, a fresh start for men's ball.

Let’s get on a run and win the SEC Tournament!

Get Coach Murky from the woman’s basketball team in there. We might get some federal money in the NIL budget.

We might as well get an AI to be our coach and just focus 100% of our efforts on buying the best players bc that’s where this sport is heading

What a mother fricking retarded decision. Doesn't matter how much you spend on NIL if your head coach sucks.

Woodward gives zero frickS about men's basketball and no clue why that is. The frick is his problem?

He deserves a shot. But NIL paying players has Fd up college sports. The biggest NIL piggy bank wins.

The anonymous sources of the increased donations were from Austin, College Station, Fayetteville, Oxford, Starkville, Norman, Tuscaloosa, and Auburn. The following year, the remaining SEC teams are to donate to help keep CMM.
