LSU is closing in on Arkansas offensive line coach Brad Davis as their replacement for James Cregg, according to Jordy Culotta.

Davis, a native of Baton Rouge, attended Belaire High School and played college football at Oklahoma.

He spent last season coaching with the Razorbacks and was at Missouri from 2018-2019 and spent the 2017 season at Florida.

College Football reporter Bruce Feldman has also reported that Davis is expected to be hired at LSU.

Brad is really good. Nice hire by O.

Sounds like a solid hire but can we please secure the leaks from the Athletic Department till pen meets paper. Kinda scarred from the DC process we just experienced.

I didn’t expect much, being at such a weird time and all. Maybe not a home run hire, but it far exceeds my expectations. So good hire, considering. Nice resume. I can’t wait to see what he can do.

I was there in Tiger Stadium when he caught that pass from Bert Jones to beat Ole Piss with one second on the clock. Awesome game!

Next time one of you BR Baws sees Gravy and wants to troll him, make a positive ID. If he's in LSU gear IT AIN'T HIM.

Four jobs in 5 years, no NFL experience...but it looks like he's been coaching since 2013 with mostly SEC experience...Welcome Coach, best of luck and most importantly, learn to say "Geaux Tigers"

Look at my timeline below. It is nothing like Chavis and his changing schools makes sense.

"He's turned down some big jobs before but the opportunity to come home was a big lure." Yet according to this article this will be his 4th team in 5 years

2017 was Sharkboy's last year at Florida, so he left when sharkboy got fired. 2019 was Odom's last year at Mizzou, when Mizzou fired Odom, Odom brought him to Arkansas when Pittman hired Odom. So his timeline makes perfect sense.

Ah thanks. Would be nice if our TD staff reporter could provide some of that info in the article
