LSU sophomore cornerback Dwight McGlothern has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal, according to Matt Zenitz with On3Sports.

McGlothern, a former four-star prospect from Houston, Texas, turned into a key starter for the Tigers this past season after losing Derek Stingley Jr. and Eli Ricks to injuries. His departure means that LSU will need to replace all starting cornerbacks from last season.

Makes no sense unless he was processed for grades. He was pretty good and had the job to himself.

Most of y'all sound the folks from the town of Hickory. Trying to get rid of the coach before he's played his first game. Questioning his every move.

Or shea Dixon, violated team rules. There’s your sense.

This is a shocker- something happened, whether grades, violation, whatever, but this hurts!

Hurts like a splinter. He didn’t want to be here. We had and still have a bunch of front runners. Let them be gone!

Per Shea Dixon, violation of team rules. There’s your reason. He didn’t do what he was supposed to, got in trouble and left. End of story.

Yeah, something is definitely up. It's called be shown the door if you think it's about you and above the team/university which has been LSU's problem since Miles era.

Corey Raymond was a bigger deal than we care to admit. Bet he goes to Florida.

Corey Raymond was the one coach that we really couldn't lose. Having Frank Wilson come back was a must once that happened, but still, losing Raymond and Mickey Joseph was a big deal.

He really wanted to be the best with Eli. If he is a man of his word he goes to Bama.

Corey Raymond is the a big reason why our depth at corner is so thin. He got lazy. We were DBU before him and we’ll be DBU after him. Our best DBs in the history of our program weren’t coached by Raymond.

Anyone left on this team besides Myles Brennan and Boutte?

I think Pig is left.

Boutte is so good he could be the first guy to play both sides of the ball since Dion Sanders

Hard to believe we went from Where Georgia is today to where we are now in the matter of two years..

Are you new to LSU? Do not compare UGA to us, like ever. They just won their first title in 42 years. It’s called a rebuild. It is how it works.

This was inevitable with Ed Orgeron. The red flags have always been there.

Could these guys be afraid that Kelly will bring Notre Dame's academic standards with him?

No, I bet Kelly is glad to be rid of academic standards. He knows the top recruits dont give a shite about college academics.

I think they’re afraid he’s going to bring standards with him period.

Violation of team rules. He got in trouble and got mad and left.

Look, if he doesn’t want to be here. Bye. Pure and simple. Quit having strokes over this. It’s a whole new staff and CBK runs a much tighter ship, some players simply do not want to be part of that. Bye.

This is also another reason we need to be nearly 100% in state. So many of these out of state kids are not LSU kids. They didn’t grow up with it and they are not loyal to it.

They need to be a majority in state, but they also gotta keep recruiting Houston and high ranked out of state to have chances to win Championships. La kids aren't enough for Nattys.

Recruiting Houston is basically recruiting LA because everybody picks up and moves there after graduating anyways.

When you clean house and get rid of all the coaches then some kids are going yo leave. The cancer at LSU was bad and the cure is going to involve kids who are not committed to LSU leaving. In addition, LSU should never have allowed Orgeron to stay on and coach the team once he was fired. If you don’t believe Orgeron was sabotaging LSU then you are naive.
