Bruce Feldman with Fox Sports is reporting that former LSU QB Justin McMillan is strongly considering transferring to Tulane.

It was reported on Monday night that LSU blocked McMillan from transferring to SEC schools and any teams that are currently on the Tigers schedule for the next two years.

Playing time is not always the issue, sometimes it might be the program and how it's being run. I'm not sure why people think that all athletes' only goal in life is to play professional ball. There is actually LIFE AFTER FOOTBALL!

Hopefully, he lands at a program that can give him a fine education and also provide some playing time along the way...Tulane seems to fit the bill. Best of luck to him.

Honestly, football is not his future. He has done well to make it this far, plus have the bonus of graduating with his education paid. If he gets to Tulane, it is gravy.

Confused: He didn’t win the starting job at an upper echelon SEC school, ok fine. Decided that this was not the right decision and that he is more than talented enough to be named the starter somewhere else. Gets kind of miffed that LSU blocked him from going to another SEC school. Then goes, “yeah I have big time football QB talent.” Settles on Tulane- a perennial dormat of a program (aside from a great season about 15 years or so ago) in a mid level conference. Ummm...what happened Justin? Perhaps reality has finally set in.

ETA: if he would have just come out and said I just want to play somewhere - great! But the acting like big time programs were recruiting him to join them is laughable- when you comment on being blocked by LSU from going to another SEC program

Her graduated from LSU on scholarship. He will get a graduate’s degree from Tulane on scholarship. Perhaps the reality is that this kid is taking advantage of his situation.

LSU blocked him because he know LSU’s offense and calls .

This dude was just one injury away from starting for us. His ego got in the way and it was unwarranted. He wasn't highly recruited nor could he beat win the job outright. Now he's going to piss away a chance being a back-up or starter at a school with no spotlight. Where did this kids big head even come from? Kids don't think nowadays.

If he's thinking beyond his football years, Tulane likely provides a better choice of solid Master's programs available than other non-LSU Louisiana options.

He would be a starter at Southern University. He should give them a look.

Not if he is looking to start, he's not beating out Banks.

Not sure any sec schools would take him on scholarship any way so they didn’t need to block him. Other schools and media will just use this to make LSU look bad.

Coaches are probably concerned he could provide inside information to an opponent.

Technically, if he could or would, he can do it without transferring to them. So there's that.

"Technically", he would require a scholly before disclosing any information, so your theory is incorrect

Would he start immediately though? Camp is basically over.

He could even play baseball for the Green Wave. That's what Tulane is known for

Wouldn't beat out Chase Fourcade

At Tulane? You're right...because Chase is at Nicholls St.

This is a better decision for him anyway.

Would be a good fit, but I don't think he'd start over Jonathan Banks.
