She’s probably pointing and asking why Flory and Lee haven’t been fired yet

Those are legit questions as well

Since they coach sports nobody cares about, they can fly under the radar and LSU can stay on the cheap. Women's basketball is far more high profile & the fans expect accountability.

She’s terrible.

Let's be honest. If she was a white male, she would be already gone. Our society lacks accountability and people find reasons to be victims. You can bet she would claim racial discrimination.

Coach O seems confident

I can remember Curly Hallman being confident before opening weekend. It was kinda like Lucy pulling the football from Charlie Brown.

How do you prepare defensively for an offense you’ve never seen, against skill players and a qb you have little to no film on. And kudos to O for keeping the starting QB a secret. Make it as hard for them as possible to figure out what we’re doing.

The Miami staff is not dumb. They know Burrow will start & that's who they are preparing for.

I once heard about this coach in the SEC that lost to Troy

IMO, O is safe as long as the current LSU administration is in place. Alleva isn't firing "his guy" after just 2 years and F.King isn't committed to fielding a great athletic dept. He's too busy telling LSU's potential "customers" how broke-dick a school he's running.

You're correct. Our only hope is big donors put pressure on the BOS and/or FKA feels his job is in jeopardy

re: LSU MIA Ticket Disposition

Posted by ACADIATIGER on 8/17/18 at 10:29 am to
Tickets in sections 431-442 were selling on StubHub for under $100 until a month ago. I purchased 2 for $75 each in 440. I guess those sections were given to corporate sponsors & they were unloading them in the secondary market. I have noticed there are fewer remaining and the prices have increased.

Where is this line of people ready to snatch those season tickets up that people gave up?

People are getting wise to the fact that you can buy tickets on the secondary market for below cost. Unless you just want the tickets in your name, buying directly from LSU isn't very smart

ould LSU ever decrease seats in Tiger Stadium?

AS long as we have an administration that is not serious about winning football games, we might as well

In this story, numbers on each recruiting class. One that stings? The 2015 class, where 39% of the signees have already transferred or been dismissed.

From the 2014-2016 classes, only 32 signees (44%) remain on the team right now.

True to form, here enters Tiger Ree to suggest that CEO's lousy 2018 record will be Les Miles' fault and will need another 2 years.

Only if its a D-Line or recruiting coordinator job. LSU will likely be his last head coaching job unless he suckers a AD more incompetent than Aleva

CEO needs to get his time to coach.

I guess we just disregard his tenure at Ole Miss. Did anyone else even interview him? Just acknowledge we are dealing with two incompetent individuals ( three if we want to throw in F. King)
quote:

you must be a simpleton if you really believe he promised one of them they would be the starter against Miami if they didn't transfer

I don't think he promised anyone but Burrow anything. However, to keep them from transferring, you never know if the "simpleton" in charge promised something that may result in Burrow entering the game after the first couple offensive series.
quote:

In an opening game vs. a top 10 opponent LSU is essentially going to sacrifice the first quarter to appease a backup QB and then throw in a guy who has never started a college game (Burrow) in the 2nd quarter and say "go be great"? Ed could probably get away with that against Southeastern. He doesn't have enough clout to pull such silly shite vs. Miami. Doing that could dig himself an insurmountable hole ALL for the sake of making a backup QB happy.

Ed is going to play politics with public statements. He'll say there is a "competition". Internally though, Burrow is your starter unless he is injured or is OVERWHELMINGLY outplayed in fall camp. The simple truth is that Burrow is not at LSU if he isn't the starter. He could have continued to hold a clipboard at OSU or any number of power conference programs

I know his public comments are for show & I expect Burrow to start. But, we are talking about a guy ( Orgeron) who has questionable qualifications to be a HC. My point is its possible he promised to give one, if not all, the returning QBs every opportunity to be the starter which may include starting on Sept 2nd.
quote:

I'll ban myself for two months if Burrow doesn't start against Miami

Don't be surprised if another QB starts and Burrow comes in on the third or so series. We don't know what Orgeron "guaranteed" to any of the returning quarterbacks in order to keep them from transferring.
I purchased mine on StubHub in June. At the time, they were cheaper and much better seats that what LSU was offering. The price seems to have risen, but there should be cheap tickets available on the ticket exchange in a couple weeks
quote:

Do any of y'all think the Louisiana politicians meddled behind the scenes to get Orgeron hired, and that Alleva completely had his hands tied in the matter?

Absolutely, but only because F. King Alexander tied Aleva's hands twice when trying to land Jimbo Fisher. FKA has been poor mouthing with the legislature for several years and doesn't want the LSU Athletic department to stray from his narrative.
