Locking up a guy who doesn’t want to leave that no one else wants. Good business sense at play here as usual with our admin.

Aleva comes off as the kind of guy who walks into a dealership and insist on paying sticker price plus 2% on a car.
user avatar
emanresu63 months
If the car starts on the first try he asks to pay 5% on top of that.

SaintLSU... Alleva's made many mistakes, but all 3 major sports seem to be trending in a great direction so he's done some things right. This is a really good time for LSU sports. Try to appreciate it.

I like the why the program is heading but the need for an extension? That's a different story.

"Orgeron led LSU to a 10-3 record in 2018, the best record for the Tigers since the 2013 season." Nice spin. He led LSU to a 9-3 regular season, the same record Miles had in his last full season. O gets an extension, Miles gets fired. Same regular season results.

Whhhhyyyyyy? Incentives....sure Who's gonna come in and take O away from LSU?
user avatar

It's not about who is gonna take him, its about what our competition is telling recruits about the LSU coach that doesn't have a contract in place long enough for you to complete your career under him. Contracts bring stability which makes recruiting that much easier.

Why now? Can’t wait a year to see if he can, at least, duplicate what he did this past season?

Coach O deserves it. Everything that was headed the wrong way under Miles, is now back on track.

it looks like the same offense that we have seen since Matt Flynn & the Tigers won the Championship. The offense that Les Miles was fired for. What if UCF had its first team QB in the Bowl game ? I guess we forget that Joe Alleva is looking through the same eyes that had the Duke Lacrosse Team guilty of rape.

Joe Alleva-the gift that keeps on giving. Are there more grass areas he can charge to park on to pay for this?

Stay home and watch on TV. LSU does not owe you a cheap night out fella. If you can't afford to go that doesn't mean others can't or if you are too cheap to pay what is required to go then simply stay the fuk home. Who do you cheap fuks think you are to tell LSU what to charge? Nitwit.

Contract extensions should be used so nobody steals your coach. LSU gives its football coaches “golden parachute contracts” that they continually kick down the road. He had a good year, but doesn’t need a financial windfall waiting the in the wings because of it.

To be fair. If he doesn't get one it will be used against him on the recruiting trail.

Did anyone really think he wasn’t getting this? They surpassed all expectations. Especially from TRant. LOL

Good to see all you guys chiming in on your lunch breaks from 7-11. A reasonable raise (to put him in the top 5 or 6 in the SEC and an extension is warranted. And well deserved. But, if they add a ridiculous buyout, that's a different story. Go Coach O! Keep proving them wrong!
