LSU will suck in the first half and shine in the second half. It's their MO for this season.

South Alabama is going to put up points against this D. Especially with the middle LB in experimental mode. Gonna be a high scoring game

LSU always plays to their competition's level.. it will be close at half before they pull away.

The lowest ranked defense in the top 25 is at LSU. That is just inexcusable. Especially from having produced probably most defensive NFL players from 2010-2019. BK has to be held liable for this.

Completely new coaching staff too. Makes me thing they need to a better job of evaluation with some of these guys on the field. This new crop of freshmen should improve.

We all know how much was lost due to Orgeron's last two seasons. We know the gutted roster. We know that there wasn't sufficient analysis of the first DC. That led to significant loss of player development that we did have. These aren't excuses, but what you write suggests you don't recall that history. That, or you believe a top group of defenders can be acquired, taught and developed in one off-season.

I agree with Wood, Top talent is coming. We didn't have the D coaching staff that could recruit AND develop top talent. Look how many recruits went to other SEC teams that should have come here. These kids aren't dumb. They knew that are D coaches were subpar.

But now that has changed and our D will be elite again. We have to be patient. Like Wood said, the development wont happen in one off-season

Depends if LSU does what it did in loss to USC, first half against NSU& UCLA it might be a major upset. Again defensive woes are predicated because of BK’s poor coaching
