Watching at night would be more enjoyable for fans, but I guess this could help mitigate home field advantage (a little in theory). Seriously though, CBS is run by morons.

CBS is not able to move this game to 7pm unless ESPN agrees (and CBS pays ESPN for the priviledge). Guess the price was too high. Could still change after we beat Auburn, is my guess.

Advantage LSU.

Tua needs more time to recover. Burrow will probably get sacked once in the Auburn game and they will throw a flag on Burrow for targeting the defensive lineman so that Burrow has to sit out the first half of the Bama game.

You say this in jest, but I’ve been seriously wondering who from LSU will get a bogus targeting call and ejection in the second half of the Auburn game. Lol

A loss without Tua assures BAMA a spot in the playoffs.

CBS contract gives them first choice of SEC games to air in their 2:30 slot. Contract was changed in 2011 to allow CBS to pick 1 game per season for prime time. They had been using it on LSU-Bama but decided to use it on Notre Dame-Georgia earlier this year. Brass at CBS probably didn't expect LSU to be as good as they are and Bama had dominated the series lately.

Tiger Prawn, you are actually not correct. CBS had been doing one night game for years prior to 2011, that year they had an exception to do a 2nd. They had already did Alabama at Florida earlier that year, which is why they needed the permission.

Or more like called BS late hits against whoever suits up in crimson. See the UT game last week.

That’s one way to neutralize the LED light show.
