Ed Orgeron announced on his radio show Wednesday night that starting right guard Chasen Hines is out for the rest of the season and starting left guard Ed Ingram is out this week vs. Arkansas.

With backup lineman Anthony Bradford already out for the season, redshirt freshman Marlon Martinez practiced at right guard the last two days as Hines’ replacement.

Options to replace Ingram could be sophomore Kardell Thomas or freshman Garrett Dellinger.

So either this is the new way to “quit” the season or our athletic training staff needs to be put on trial. What they hell is going on?

What are the injuries? This is rediculous. Are they just quitting on this team? If they tell us the injury, I call BS.

Can someone compile a list of the season-ending “injuries” we’ve had this year? I’ve lost track.

I've never seen anything like this - You would think they went through the Bataan Death March?

For as dumb as Orgeron may seem, he typically chooses his words pretty carefully regarding things like his job and players being out. Did he actually say Chasen is hurt or just "lost for the season" ?

Martinez will be an immediate improvement at RG. As others pointed out Orgeron did t say Hines is hurt, just "lost for the season". Failed drug test and 3-4 game suspension?

Marlon has been really impressive.

I think our young guys have shown lots of promise. Martinez, Dellinger and Turner have lots of promise. Dumervil has shown at times he got a shot. With these 4 and the ones coming in next year (and hoefully 3 or so solid transfers), we can have a solid SEC line next year and a very good one in 2023. We need to keep in mind as a fan base, this will be a very young O-line next year, but with a good coach, we can expect solid things from them next season.
