Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports
On Tuesday, LSU shared the following message from former LSU coach Nick Saban on the hiring of Lane Kiffin:
quote:

"Lane Kiffin played a significant role in helping us win a national championship at Alabama, and I've always said he's one of the brightest offensive minds and one of the best play callers I've ever been around. He brought creativity, energy, and a real competitive spirit to everything he did. Lane has done a fantastic job everywhere he's been a head coach, especially with the success he built at Ole Miss and the turnaround he led at Florida Atlantic. I have no doubt he'll be a great fit at LSU, and I'm confident he'll continue to elevate the tradition and meet the expectations of that program at a high level."

On LSU letterhead? I don't think Saban did that part. Did he?

I mean, the goal for Lane can be multiple championships at LSU that puts him in his own category all alone.
I’m here for it.

For anyone asking, Saban gave permission for LSU to post that. Saban did ask for certain things to remain quiet. Especially certain points he told to Verge and Kiffin.

No one was asking, but nice attempt to make it look like you’re in the know.

Was never strained with me. Hated we had to compete against him but always respected and appreciated the man for what he did here. 2003 will always be my favorite season.

Yea, So much that he never went back and you know and I know he could have anytime he wanted. So much that he still makes his home in Ttown. So much he attends basically ever Bama game and will be in Atlanta Saturday. Yea, not being in Baton Rouge is killing him??
