Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports
LSU junior quarterback Justin McMillan announced Wednesday morning that he is transferring out of the program.

McMillan recently graduated from LSU and will be able to play immediately at his next school. His departure means that Tigers are down to just two scholarship quarterback on the roster.

The Cedar Hill, TX native played in just two games during his time at LSU.

In his transfer announcement below, McMillan thanks former coaches Les Miles and Cam Cameron by name but did not mention Ed Orgeron or any of the other coaches currently on LSU's staff.

Hey we want more snaps to the #1 and #2 with Miami only a few weeks away..... You had all spring and summer to improve on passing accuracy and if its not there then thanks for being a Tiger and good luck to you in your next team competition....

The optics coming out of this program are terrible. I hope they prove me wrong, but I don’t think that is likely.

Agree, 3rd and 4th string QB's transferring is terrible optics. Give me a break...

I hate to see him go, but he was basically off the depth chart. At this point in his career, I don't blame him at all for trying to find some playing time somewhere. Best of luck to him and thanks for being a Tiger!

This is what happens when you’re not honest with your talent. The QB situation at LSU is getting laughable at this point.

Sounds to me like they were actually very honest with him...he needed to see the reality of the situation in order to make the best decision for himself.

Tigerdroppings with the CNN style fake news. We have 2 scholarship QBs but have more on roster.

Lol Fox News isn't fake though? Just the people who call a racist liar, a racist liar. You trump blowhards are the best. Just believe whatever he tells you, that will work out in the end. #lowIQtrumpsupporters

I said it more than once retaining all would be far superior in IQ. LSU never demonstrated an abundance of offensive savvy.

He will end up with a Masters Degree and maybe find some playing time. He will be fine. Good luck

Good thing we have a top tier O Line since we're thin at QB now.

JM#12 was never going to be a starter at LSU. Good luck to him. Hope he finds a place to land.

Wow. Throwing shade at Coach O and Ensminger. LSU Football is on the brink of disaster in 2018 all because of Joe Burrow. Sad!

Oh yes, the #3 & #4 QBs were going to be LSUs salvation.
