After beating Syracuse 34-24 on Saturday LSU moved up one spot to No. 8 in the latest Coaches Poll but dropped one spot to No. 9 in the AP Poll.

polls are irrelevant. Win the SEC West, win the SEC CG, and get in the playoffs. Ignore the silly polls.

The only team that "moved past us" this week was UCLA. All others (including UGA) were already ahead of us (right or wrong).

Well these polls are still a joke. As an OSU fan even I can see that we are not deserving of #1. I think we could be later in the season but there are quite a few teams that have looked better than the Buckeyes and it brings the credibility of the poll into question when they continue to rank them first.
