LSU junior linebacker Ronnie Feist announced Thursday via Instagram that he will be transferring to the University of Texas at San Antonio. The Edgard, La. native has already graduated from LSU and will be able to play immediately.

Feist will reunite with former LSU running back coach and recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson who took the head coaching job UTSA earlier in the month.

quote:

two2_undeniable: I'm proud to announce that I will be continuing my education at the University of Texas at San Antonio formally known as UTSA. I thoroughly enjoyed my tenure at LSU and was blessed to play under the leadership of Coach Les Miles. I have the pleasure of joining a team with the same coach who recruited me from West St.John, Coach Frank Wilson. @coachfrankwilson To all my fellow tigers, coaches and teammates, thank you for a wonderful experience and I will always cherish the years, experiences and growth that I endured in Death Valley. I am excited to enter into a new phase of my life, athletic and academic career. I am more than blessed to have this opportunity to continue to pursue my dream to play in the NFL. I will remain steadfast and faithful in God and HIS plans for my life. One thing I have learned is that there are many ways to get to one destination. It's not about the road taken, but rather the journey endured. Forever LSU and Geaux Tigers! Geaux UTSA

My wife teaches at UTSA. Out of respect, if he winds up in her class I'll be sure that she gives him an "A" for being a Tiger at one time
