LSU sophomore defensive back Pig Cage announced Wednesday morning that he is headed to the transfer portal.

Cage was not at practice on Tuesday and was removed from LSU's roster.

The Kenner, La. native was an FCS All-American at Nicholls State following the spring 2021 season before transferring to LSU last fall.

He played in eight games for the Tigers last season in a backup role and recorded seven total tackles. Six of those tackles came in the Texas Bowl when he was named a starter due to depth issues in the secondary.

I’m either drunk, high, not good at reading Arabic, or a combination of two of the above. But I am having trouble reading your statement, Pig. I was really pulling for you, as I like your name.

Won’t he have to sit out a year since he already transferred once?

Quitting to go elsewhere to chase his dream isn’t going to speed the process.
