After missing the entire 2017 season for undisclosed reasons, LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton could be relied heavily upon in 2018.

The former 5-star cornerback out of New Orleans sent out a tweet on Thursday saying that has so much to prove and is ready to silence the critics.

The Tigers secondary loses Donte Jackson and Kevin Toliver to the NFL Draft but returns All-SEC cornerback Greedy Williams in 2018 who could be joined on the field by Fulton.

LSU also hopes to add uncommitted five-star cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. who is the consensus No. 1 cornerback in the country for the class of 2018.

What are these "undisclosed" reasons and why are they "undisclosed"?

It’s a shame that muddbone has to come here and debunk the bs that gets posted. Looking for Fulton to reach his lofty potential!

Fulton was a five star and the number 3 cb in the nation. You guys and your damn shiny new toy syndrome. This kid is going to be good.

Stevens a safety that I expect will compete strongly at starting opposite Delpit this upcoming season. And Vincent is a good really fast CB, but Fulton is a former 5 star player that was expected to contribute greatly this past season until he got hurt and got into trouble also to get suspended for the season. I expect him to start opposite Greedy because he's a phenomenal talent just like Surtain Jr .

Could have sworn Stevens was playing wide receiver or wants to playbwide receiver. What's all this mess bout Stevens playing safety?

This is SOOOOOO good to hear, with Greedy and Fulton starting and KV in the slot and the young safeties maturing the sky is the limit for the secondary next year

This!! Exactly right! Plus the new guys we have coming in. Secondary looks extremely talented, and the entire front seven is improving big from 2 years ago. These transfers and JUCO guys can really help to fill the voids recruiting sometimes leaves. I hope O keeps dipping into these areas of recruiting to boost the depth when need be. Just stack them up and let the guys who can't cut it move on as they wish. This is how you recruit. You have to get numbers where you have a weakness so they can push one another, and someone comes out on top, maximizing your talent. Really enjoy the way these guys recruit inside out.

What critics? If anything he’s just forgotten

Exactly, given the depth chart he was not going to be on the field that much this season at a CB spot. Now it is indeed his opportunity to step up and claim a spot. Balls Out!

This is his year to shine...no excuses or mysterious absences or any of that other BS. This is the year to either grasp the spotlight and ball or move out of the way for the next guys wanting that spot.

So basically we picked up another 5 star for next year. Yes!

Good for him. Hope he can silence them. But honestly as long as Corey Raymond is here I am not worried about the secondary

Considering how well Delpit played, and Greedy Williams.....this could be the BEST LSU secondary ever, which would be saying alot.

Doesn't matter how good you are as a db if we can't get pressure on the qb and they have all day to throw they will pick you apart. We need the d-line to step it up this coming year.
user avatar
KING NOLA75 months
What you mean? DT Greg Gilmore had 7 sacks that's awesome from the DT position and they had pressure from every spot on the D-Line and not even mentioning the timely blitzes from DC Dave Aranda we had pressure and next year the D-Line is going to be deeper with a lot more pressure so no worries.
