LSU has agreed on a new three-year contract for offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, according to The Advocate:
quote:

Cameron’s new deal is expected to be similar to that of defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, hired away from Wisconsin in January to replace Kevin Steele. The contracts must now be approved by LSU Board of Supervisors at the board’s next meeting on March 18.
Cameron is entering his fourth year as LSU's offensive coordinator.

"Cam's offense has broken multiple NCAA, SEC, and school records in 2 of his 4 years." He's been here 3 years, and the last two have been abysmal. His good offense was with an NFL QB, NFL RB, and two stud NFL receivers. And he didn't recruit any of them. I'm not sold on Cam.

I would prefer to take a chance on a "proven-ish" up and comer for half the money, but this isn't terrible by any means. Cam's offense has broken multiple NCAA, SEC, and school records in 2 of his 4 years.

Good. His offense requires 5 years to install so this is great news and I look forward to a magical 2017

Great! Definitely need to pay him more to call the same running play on first and second down followed by two receivers running fly patterns on third...on every series.

The rest of the SEC thanks LSU for rewarding mediocrity.

I'll be the first to say that this pleases me. I think this will be a big year for the Tigers, offensively, and his skills ON the sideline will help make big progress.

Great. Now LSU will have to buy him out when Miles gets canned at season's end.
