Paul Milsap is better than about any player from Southern La history. But then again you probably dont give a Frick because you to caught up in trying to be right.

Numbers and facts. I ONLY gave you a small number of players from North La. And players are bigger and stronger now. DO you know who Karl Malone, Bill Russel, Robert Parish, and Willis Reed were. All approaching or taller than 7 ft. And Quality does matter!

Depends on what part of the state you're in my friend. There is a reason why most of the players who make it professionally in basketball are from North LA.

I don't think 1 example is sufficient evidence that a split is now not necessary.

Arcadia is not a inferior team. Two of their players are top 30 players in louisiana who have been playing with each other since grade school. Arcadia has won 25 in a row after starting the season 0-5 because 3 of their starters was in the football playoffs. Arcadia are not the creme puffs of district 1A-7.

Awesome man! A young Byron. I Remember him when he played for grambling. He mentioned Honeycutt, I can tell you personally that he was the closest player I seen to Scotty Pippen. But didnt have a good mindset. Paul Milsap was a beast at Grambling. I know his family very well. Both parents are pastors. Very good family. Thanks for the link man!

That would be a good start. But even then when you get to the larger classifications it will become a problem, because of resources. The private schools have natural advantages in money. Thats why florida Doesn't allow IMG academy to compete against public schools or count their victories as legitimate.

That's funny you mentioned that. I remember growing up seeing a Grambling lab bus come pass my house. I had know idea lab and other private schools could do that. Trust me,schools like Arcadia don't have the resources to "lure" a family to move there. Its only because of the bloodline that both their girls and boys are in the top 28 every year. And that their girls have won 6 state championships.

I think we are in agreement? My primary point was that public schools and private schools should play in different leagues because of these situations. Public schools like Arcadia can't go pickup a kid from Bossier city or Shreveport. And Arcadia has blood lines that most people don't know about which allows it ti overcome this disadvantage. I.E. Bernard King has family in Arcadia, his son Kourtney Roberson, is from arcadia and was an all American. He plays or played for Texas A&M,Robert Parish has family in Arcadia, Paul Millsap has family there, Marcus Fizer,McDonald's all American, is from Arcadia. Bill Russell is from right down the road in monroe. There is a reason why Arcadia girls had 4 starters over 6 ft tall, I just saying. I Don't want to tell to many small town secrets. Lol

Bid Ed, the problem I have with LCA's of the world is the running up of scores on teams with inferior talent. When I played back in the day, we respected our opponents and didn't run up scores to humiliate them. Up 50 and still pressing. Really!

I pull for the underdog. I think its great that a legitimate 1A team is playing for a state championship. LCA, Madison Prep, Riverside are masquerading around as small schools. But most of us know better.

Good point. But I still don't understand how any team from Baton Rouge, New Orleans, or Lafeyette for that matter are allowed to play in 1a or 2a. Especially the academies. Having more people mean you have a bigger pool of players. Arcadia, for example, has had a total population in the history of the town of under 3000 people. No amount of development should allow teams like that to beat a team like LCA, who has the number 1 2017 player in the state and 3 other D1 players.
