Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports
Due to a low player rating of 87 in the new 'Madden' football video game, former LSU star and current Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette jokingly told EA Sports to remove him from the game.

Here's was his initial reaction to finding out he was rated 87:

The Jaguars ended up having some fun with it...

The Madden ratings are about hype now. They haven't been factual out of the gate for quite sometime now. If you play online, the ratings change based on performance. They got Aaron Rodgers at 99 and he barely played at all last year. But Wentz was an MVP candidate and he's an 86. They got Russell Wilson rated higher than Drew Brees. Don't get me wrong, Wilson is a good QB. But better than Brees? They're isn't a coach or GM that would take Wilson over Brees right now. Not if they want to win!

Russ has been to more SBs than Brees and much tounger. I dont think most Coaches would do that at all.

There isn’t a coach or GM who would rather Wilson over Brees? My god. Wilson is arguably a top 5 QB and much younger than Brees.

embarrassing for LF. It's a video game. You're paid millions to play for the Jags. Ignore all the extraneous stuff.

Madden is a fricking joke of a game, so who the frick cares about their bull shite product? Maybe if madden worried more about fixing the gameplay and all the fricking cheating that the CPU does and it might do better on sales. Madden has been shite for at least the past 10 years.

Douche move. It's a video game, and you get paid for it by virtue of being in the NFLPa. Grow up.

I don’t know why, but that canned, generic customer service response from EA has me crying laughing!

My dude Leonard had the TWO highest top speeds (mph) last season. How dare you Madden. 91 speed rating is a joke considering the people above him in rating are below him in top speed.

I've seen cocks on a horse smaller than Madden's nose.

87 to start 97 to finish.... Dont the ratings get updated as season goes along?

I love LF7, but he needs to stay healthy for a full season before earning Madden’s respect.

"Madden's respect" is a load of shite. Meaning a Cowboys fans' opinion? Dude should be a 96 speed minimum (fastest speed of any player last season btw)

His speed should be way higher. I always thought it was stupid as to how they measured a players speed rating anyway.
